2010 continues to be a positive year for METSCheck as we’ve experienced measured growth in March, thanks to the addition of new customers in the healthcare and telecommunications field, plus an uptick in business from our reseller channel.

Through our continued support of both the National Pawn Brokers Association (NPA) and the Financial Service Centers of America (FiSCA), we also welcomed several new pawn shops and check cashing stores to our family.

METSCheck at Work in our Community

For some time now METSCheck has been providing background screening services for staff and volunteers seeking to work with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC), the Roswell, Georgia-based non-profit charged with preventing homelessness in Fulton County. NFCC screens their staff to help protect the more than 2000 families they support each year.

MVR Checks are Valuable for More than Just Hiring Drivers

The obvious reason to use a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) screen is when evaluating the driving history of candidates to drive service or delivery vehicles for your company but there are other legitimate uses of MVR information. This is a perfect example of when poor prior behavior may be indicative of future behavior. For instance, nonpayment of parking tickets may be a sign of poor organizational or financial management skills while multiple speeding tickets may be a sign of aggressive behavior. Employee Spotlight: Jean Price

In addition to her extensive responsibilities as CEO of METSCheck, Jean Price also serves as the Ministry Outreach Director for Zachariah’s Way. Zachariah’s Way is non-profit organization based in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, whose mission is to help churches become more aware of and better minister to special needs people and their families.

In addition to their regularly-scheduled training events, Zachariah’s Way is hosting their P.U.R.E. Celebration event on June 29 featuring several Christian music artists, professional athletes and Sarah Palin.
