Jean Price, CEO
As CEO of METSCheck, Inc., Jean Price is responsible for setting strategic direction for the organization that she founded with her husband Jim in 1991. Prior to forming METSCheck, she served as CEO for their first business venture, an insurance paramedical provider, capitalizing on her more than twenty-five years experience in the delivery of healthcare.
Price began her professional career as a Registered Nurse and worked in a hospital environment for fifteen years ultimately advancing to the position of Critical Care Coordinator for Cardiac Care, Surgical Intensive Care and the Cardiac Monitoring of patients not in the Critical Care area.
While a member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, price served on the Board of Directors. She was also chairman of the Chamber's Membership Committee and led a record-setting membership drive. She also served as Chairman of the Ambassadors and was named Ambassador of the Year for the chamber.
Price has also served as Chairman of the Board of Senior Services North Fulton, a non-profit organization responsible for the operation of three Senior Centers, Meals on Wheels for a large community, and a Homemaker Program.
Recently Price has been named Ministry Outreach Director for the nonprofit organization, Zachariah's Way, an organization that assists the families of children with disabilities and places a special emphasis on Respite Care.
Price is an active member of North Point Community Church, enjoys traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and is a self-professed “news jockey.”
Jim Price, President
Jim Price is President of METSCheck, Inc., the firm he founded in 1991 with his wife Jean to serve the growing demand for services not met by their first business, an insurance paramedical provider.
Jim saw such early success with his insurance and background screening businesses that he was recognized by the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce in 1998 as the Small Business of the Year and was featured, along with his wife Jean, as “Partners in Life and Business” in the May 28, 1998, issue of the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Jim is a member of the Atlanta Association of Life Underwriters, the National Association of Professional Background Screeners and the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association.
A former medical equipment sales engineer, Jim earned an Associate’s Degree in Electronics from Albany Technical College. He is an active member of North Point Community Church and spends his free time playing with grandchildren, traveling and reading novels, biographies and electronic magazines.
Renee Elberts, Operations Manager
In her role as Operations Manager for METSCheck, Renee Elberts oversees all activities necessary for providing testing services ranging from staffing and business development to finance and product management. Prior to joining METSCheck, she was a Customer Service Representative for APPS Paramedical.
Elberts has been recognized by DATIA (The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association) as a Certified Professional Collector (CPC), a Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT), and a Certified Medical Review Officer Assistant. She also holds a certification for Breath Alcohol Testing.
Elberts and her husband reside in Woodstock, Georgia, where they enjoy camping, hiking and taking their three sons to Boys Scouts and baseball games.
